They are LIVING WITH ALS. Please donate generously to the ALS Activity Fund to support good times for pALS. |
ALSRI is proud to support pALS having the opportunity to live to their fullest potential. Typical nursing home activities are oriented towards bingo and sing-alongs. The residents of the ALS Residence, on the other hand, are offered sponsored trips that stimulate the mind and the senses. Partnerships have been formed with various adaptive sports adventurers to provide thrill-seekers the chance to go skydiving and skiing for example. For more intellectual pursuits, trips are organized to the Museum of Science, the Museum of Fine Arts, and the Aquarium among others. For pure entertainment, residents go to music concerts, sporting events, or the theater.
